I’m drowning in email! About 100+ messages a day pour in -- and that's AFTER I've cleaned out the spam. To keep from going quietly insane, I've reluctantly developed an email triage system. Please don't take this as some kind of diva stance--I'm just trying to survive here!

Here's what to expect from me:

Messages I trash:
Spam, jokes,and forwards email. All of these type I have automatically put into my Junk folder. 


Messages I read, but usually don't answer
"Which ____ should I buy?" questions. I'm so sorry, but I just don't have the capacity to provide personal recommendations.

Messages I try to answer promptly
Business correspondence, speaking requests, and so on.

Almost anything else!

NOTE: Do you use MailBlocks or a similar spam service where I have to visit a Web page and type a code in order for you to receive my reply? If so, I'm very sorry, but I just don't have the time. If you don't get my response, it's because you've made it too hard! Also, since my IT Administrator has put together a new system if I get any of these types of messages he has made it possible that they are deleted before they get to my email server.
