Clinton gets married on Saturday. Obama was not invited to the wedding. Something going on here. I think Hilary will run against Obama. By next year, I think Obummer will be circling the drain and the dems seeing an unpopular Obama, will throw over the first black president for a possible first woman president. Obama will need a major accomplishment for this not to happen but I don't see one happening. By the way, what does Chelsea Clinton do in life? She seems to do nothing. Being rich and well known you'd think she would involve herself in some cause but no, she obviously isn't interested.

I heard it said that this was Chelseas wedding and her invitation list reflected that. I think it was wise not to invite anyone outside her circle, lots of people speculatied about Jenna Bushs wedding being held at the ranch instead of the white house but I understood that.
I also heard that Chelsea Clinton runs or works for a hedge fund.

I hear Chelsea hangs out with all those Dem bigwigs. Wedding is costing $3million? Arkansas trailer park people. Is Paula Jones invited? How about Gore? I'd invite Obama and Rev Wright to perform the service.

Why are you so grossed over Chelseas wedding...? And why do you disdain her because because you don't like her parents? You don't know the girl. She has maintained a very low profile, never been arrested for dui or partying with drugs and booze.
Do some soul searching here.
It really is not news, and the Clintons are trying to keep it very private, the press is obsessed, and you are taking the bait.
Here is her bio. I think she is a very admirable young woman.
At Stanford University in Stanford, California, where Clinton did her undergraduate studies, she had declared a major in chemistry with an interest in medicine before switching to history after two years. The film Chasing Liberty (2004) was said to be inspired by a photograph of Clinton at a Stanford basketball game with other students. In 2001, she graduated from Stanford; her undergraduate thesis topic was the 1998 Belfast Agreement in Northern Ireland.
She went on to earn a master's degree in international relations at University College at the University of Oxford in Oxford, United Kingdom.
In 2003, Clinton joined the consulting firm McKinsey & Company in New York City, New York; she was the youngest person hired in her class.[11][15] In the fall of 2006, she left McKinsey and went to work for Avenue Capital Group, a hedge fund run by Marc Lasry, a donor to Democratic causes and supporter of the Clintons. She serves on the board of the School of American Ballet and has also served as co-chairperson of a fund-raising week and for her father’s Clinton Foundation.[11] Chelsea Clinton speaking to students on behalf of her mother's campaign at the University of Missouri, January 2008.
In 2005, Clinton took up residence in New York City in the Gramercy neighborhood on Manhattan's East Side. During the November 2006 mid-term election, in which her mother was running for re-election to the Senate, attention was drawn to her residence when it was discovered that an error at her 20th Street polling station had resulted in her name not being in the voting book. Clinton was allowed to vote via a provisional ballot.
In November 2009, Clinton announced her engagement to investment banker Marc Mezvinsky, son of former Iowa congressman Edward Mezvinsky, who was convicted and served federal prison time for fraud arising from various business transactions[18] and former Pennsylvania congresswoman Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky, and nephew of Norton Mezvinsky.[19] A summer 2010 wedding is planned for July 31 in the New York village of Rhinebeck. The guest list, made public in mid-July 2010, includes such notables as Barack Obama, Ted Turner, Oprah Winfrey and Steven Spielberg, although Obama later claimed that he was not invited to what was planned to be a private affair for the family. It is not yet clear whether Ms. Clinton will adopt her husband-to-be's Conservative Jewish faith.
As of December 2009, Clinton was studying health policy and management at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health.

I give this young woman credit for behaving herself, going to school and being a daughter her parents are proud of. I have nothing against her personally. I hope she has a happy marriage. Isn't it great that she can step right into a big important job, thanks to her parents. How many regular people her age could sit on a Board? She was "working" for this hedge fund or someone but decided to take time off to follow her mothers presidential campaign. I'm sure her bosses bowed and scraped to her and said, sure Miss Clinton, take all the time you need. Your job with a great salary will be waiting for you when you decide to return.Could one of us do that? Isn't it wonderful to be one of the Elite Class? You get to move in circles that the rest of us aren't allowed in. All you have to do is to be born to the right parents. You would think that since she has been lucky and rich, she might devote herself to a worthwhile cause. OK. The Clinton Foundation. I wonder what she does there. Works for DADDY. Some fancy title and an office with her name on the door. There are much more worthwhile causes she could help with. Afterall she doesn't have to waste her time earning a living. The wedding. Oh give us privacy. Spend 3 to 5 million on a wedding as if you are some Princess in a fairytale. You're a girl from Arkansas, stop pretending you are royalty. They are spending 30g's on portable toilets, 250grand on flowers, yada yada yada. They should be embarrased by the excessiveness. People are struggling without jobs and she will probably shout, "Let them eat cake!" I wonder how many thousands the cake cost. All her personal friends will be there. Oprah, Spielberg, Streisand, bigwig democrats. All her homies and party friends. Yeah right. Mezvinski. Didn't the father rip off his own family members? Sons a banker. That figures. He will be eyeing up the money bag while Bill eyes up the bridesmaids. Countless thousands spent on security. A no fly zone overhead. Some other poor girl is getting married at this place and she has been inconvenienced beyond belief. The Elites will eat, drink and be merry. Private jets will fly in and out, excess resources will be used up, lots of food wasted. The town turned upside down. Don't dare ask an Elite entertainer for an autograph or a picture because they will curse you out and have security remove you. All the global warmists partying till late into the night. Who cares about the working class, we have our $30 thousand dollar toilets to sit on. Isn't life great!

You might as well party while you still can this is America after all. I think 5 more banks went down today and that brings to a total of 108 this year. Thats more than all of last year.[its only July] I say lets have one hell of a party before it is to late. I still say this wedding is not news, but we will hear about it for another two days.

The Kennedy's devoted themselves to charitable causes, most especially the Special Olympics, and the second generation to the environment and helping poor people heat their homes.
They get trashed all the time too. Dammed if they do, dammed if they don't.

I give them credit for going out and doing something. They could sit back on their money and enjoy life but they have decided to involve themselves in public service, especially the special olympics. A lot of the people who criticize them for their public work are just haters. Joe Kennedy with the oil thing I'm sure does a lot of good. I didn't usually agree with Teds politics but I never doubted that they cared about people. I don't think Hilary or Chelsea care about anybody but themselves. A couple of self centered rich snobs. Bill on the other hand has raised lots of money for different causes. I give him credit for that.

It was an exercise in excess and waste. They probably cut a check to some green cause to aleviate their guilt.

A good kick in the ass to Fox News for reporting earlier that Democrat donors, bigwigs and Hollywood elite would attend the Clinton wedding. They did not. They weren't invited. No Oprah, Striesand and the rest of that bunch except for a few well known family friends. Fox went out of its way to make it sound like an Elite bunch would party well into the night with private jets flying in and out. That did not happen. It was attended by friends and people close to the family. I listened to Fox News and believed what they "reported". They did not report it in a favorable way. I believe they would have reported a Bush kids wedding more favorably. They let politics cloud their judgement in their reporting. It was plain dishonest of them. Oh yes. A good kick in my own ass for listening to them in the first place.
